O.K., I know we have done this before but here we go.

CL special price on the Supra TT brake upgrade, this is what you get:

(2) Brand new Supra TT calipers
(2) Brand new Supra TT rotors
(1) Toyota factory brake pad set
(1) SS brake lines (4)

$698.00

The factory pads are probably sufficent for most people, however if you want to upgrade to some TRD/Kazuma Front race pads add $81.00, TRD/Kazuma Rear GS pads add $99.00

Everything is currently available, shipping is extra.

Thanks,

Hey Tiny,

If you want to stay with TRD/Kazuma they have some nice front slotted rotors(made in Japan) for $153.00 each.

I really haven't checked anyone else so far, if your looking for another MFG let me know.

Thanks for such a prompt response as always Steve...
The TRD rotor you are referencing is made for the SupraTT caliper correct? I really dont know enough about the different Mfg's to know which is better. Can you find out if there is a Brembo rotor that would be a direct fit w/the supraTT caliper, that will also be priced competetively with the TRD/Kazuma? You also mentioned the TRD being $153 each. How much more is that than the stock SuptaTT rotor? Thanks, Tiny

Stock SupraTT rotor is 12.8" and plain...no slots or drilling...Its a direct fitment on a GS300/400 granted your RIMS will allow, so it should cost no more than a regular brake job because it is only a tad more time consuming. If you go with new lines as well, and you dont know the mechanic, expect them to price out the job a bit higher because of the time...Tiny

How much will the rim change, offset or placement, when using the supra brakes?

I think it relies not solely on the offset of the rim, but also on the type/style of rim. You have to be sure the rim will clear the Supra caliper, it has different dimensions than the stock one. I dont know which rims will/wont work...If anyone who reads this that either knows the answer or has already done this mod, please post some info...Tiny

Unfortunately Brembo doesn't make a stock replacement rotor for the Supra TT.

I talked with the Brembo distributor and he has some cross-drilled that are dynamically balanced and chambered for optimum pad wear. I'm going to try these out on my car, I'll let you know the results.

Also available are the Hawk HPS street pads, softer compound than the race version.

So as of now we have the Supra stock or TRD/Kazuma slotted rotors for the brake upgrade

Hi Steve,

i have a few questions:

1.would the stock GS caliper accomodate supra tt rotors?

2.how much would it cost just for the supra tt rotors and factory pads? how much more for TRD carbon pads?

how much is it for TRD rotors? can i use this w/stock GS caliper?

3.if i just upgrade the pads, whcih do you do you recommend? and how much would they run?

you can also PM me or use lexusbill@clublexus.com if you prefer.

thank you steve.
