Default AC problem.........

I recently resealed my driveway so the GS was held hostage in the garage, the car sat about 30 days with the battery disconnected, now the ac blows hot, there were no problems before this, no evidence of freon leaking but the system is putting out two trouble codes, 21 and 24. anyone here experience this or a similar problem, help please.

my guess is that the r134a seeped out...it can actually migrate through the rubber hoses. mind you...not all at one time. AC systems have a pressure sensor. If the pressure goes below a certain level, the system will shut down the compressor to prevent damage. You can put 12v positive to the compressor to see if the clutch is working and to check if it will spin. Or you can do it with the engine off and listen for the clutch to click. Also, there is a sight glass near the driver side headlight that shows whether you need freon or not. If you see a steady stream of bubbles when you check the compressor clutch, It needs a charge. If you see no bubbles or very little, which indicates a full charge, then maybe something in the climate control system is malfunctioning. As far as the trouble codes..they could be related to the ac system. But i'm not sure...if anyone has the trouble codes, please help this guy.

Hold down the recirculate and ac on or auto buttons at the same time with the key off, then turn the key to acc, the system will blink ten times or so and then show trouble codes if you have any.

My ac was blowing out hot air, and last week I refilled it with one can of freon, it workes perfect now, I can see my breath it's sooooo cold. I love it, so cheap and so effective. I would try that.

Here is a tip I found on those codes:

If you are checking for AC codes in the dark that could be making the car set codes 21 (Passenger Solar Sensor) and 24 (Driver Solar Sensor). Check them in daylight or with some shop lights over them. If you still get them then there may be an issue with these sensors.

You can check the trouble chart I posted here too for some ideas: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=353265
