I am looking into getting my car l-tuned but i wanted to see how much people were paying for installation by the dealer (since this is the only way to keep the warranty). I just wanted to add the shocks and springs and the ecu. Anyone have any ideas?

Thumbs down

Their going to kill you with the installation charges. I got quoted at $707 by the dealer JUST for installation of springs and shocks.

I got a quote from a local shop that will do it for $250 and includes the 4 wheel alignment. They also guarantee their work. You might check around in your area.

Default Where are you located?

I think you'll find most dealers in the $500-$700 range, but you have an important requirement. You want it to be covered under the Lexus Warranty. You should shop around for other prices, but in the end, determine how much extra are you willing to spend for the security of your suspension being covered under the Lexus Warranty. I wouldn't expect the trade off to be wallet breaking once you consider all of your options. My dealer can do it for probably around $500-550 w/o ECU, which I hear is a relatively easy DIY job.

I paid $440 at my Lexus dealer, including 4 wheel alignment. I'm happy.

I paid $120 to have my coilovers and rims/tires mounted and installed...I'm happier

Since I didn't have any L-Tuned stuff installed (except for the ECU which my Homie at my local Lexus dealer technician installed for free...def. a cool guy!) so warranty was not a concern...but if you're doing L-Tuned stuff, I would definitely take it to a dealership so you don't void the warranty...just shop around...
