Paint Job
I was thinking about doing this not too long ago. The shop I went to does a lot of work for the local Mercedes and Jaguar dealerships. My car is the alpine silver and I was going to go a bit darker silver, which I saw on a durango, they were going to charge about $8000. This included the engine bay, door jams, basically anywhere bare metal is exposed they would repaint it. I decided not to because my paint is in good shape and that money could be used for other mods. I would expect to pay somewhere in that range for a good job. Im sure it can be done cheaper but who knows what kind of paint job you will get.

I may not post as much as I used to, but I still read pretty much everything. It's good to know that I'm not the only alpine silver nut case out there.

my car... the 2gs with flint mica... need to lower the car. can someone do that for me?
when it was black:
honestly... the Flint mica is a beautiful color expecially with all the metallics in it. But I seriously love the mirror finish of a freshly waxed black car.

thanks for the replies...
I honestly had no idea that paintjobs were that expensive. I have a friend's dad who owns a paintshop and I've seen their work on my friends Element. It looks pretty solid but I'm not sure what I want to do yet. I might just buff my current silver and make her all shiny and purrrty..
Save the money for a PI TC and Supra 3.76 or TRD LSD.
