Downpipe Upgrade
Check out the downpiping that can be done on the gs300 @

Anyone have any experience with front downpiping? In three years, I've never heard of this mod. But after looking on clubaristo, it seems that quite a few people in Japan had this done. It looks really nice with the new piping but too bad nobody can see it! But for 10 hp, without extra noise, a definite possibility. Any comments? Thanks.

Presario,
This piping is fairly common with exhaust upgrades. I used to own a civic Si, and one of the mods that I made was the entire breathing system (intake, headers and exhaust). It's these three parts that help move the air in and out of you engine more efficiently. Just got my GS a couple of months ago, so I don't have any experience w/ that on the GS however. They're good to have if you're going to go w/ a turbo or a blower.

i don't think that you can install that downpipe because then you will only be using one muffler (it will be louder) and you will have to get a y-pipe to split the 2 pipes into 1. I have a GReddy downpipe with my GReddy Rear-Section exhausts and i don't think the downpipe would fit with regular mufflers because of the bigger pipes.
I saw that same picture before.
are those two canisters the catalytic converters or resonators? I think they are resonators. Are there primary catalitics in the GS300 like in the 400 engines? I am a bit rusty on this.
I think that exhaust is awesome. I am sure it will give the GS300 a lot more top end and a nice throttle response. When long primaries are used the power curve moves to higher revs. That I speak from experience in older N/A high speed Rotaries (hard as hell to tune right) and 4 cyl race engines. also remember that tuning a N/A aspirated exhaust is a bit harder than a Turbo system since the backpressure affects the already restrictive nature of the non boosted engine. That is my opinion though since at high boost the exhaust does play a big role in Turbo systems also. What do u think?
