Default Sunroof engine?

Hey,
The sunroof on my car has been acting up! It opens up just fine and right when i push the button. The tilt opens and closes just fine as well, but there is a problem when i close it. I have to push the button like 15 times or hold it for like 2 minutes for it to finally close. I took it to the shop and they couldnt figure out what was wrong with it and said they would have to take the whole assmbly appart and maybe change the motor or something (aka a lot of $ to me). I wanted to know if anything like this has happened to anyone else, or is there anythingI can do to correct the problem. As of now, im sticking to tilt/no sunroof. It is too much of a hassle to close it.

umm i am thinking, if the roof can open no problem, that means the motor is good.

maybe it's just the moonroof control unit? not bad contacts?

well, if it's the control unit, i thought it's just right above the doom light assembly? you can take that off very easily and see if something is loose
