Default Control panel out & won't shift into R or P

Could anyone throw me a little help with my 98 GS400? Yesterday, I hopped on it a little, and two seconds later my center control panel went out (Clock, heater, radio). When I got home, the car would not shift into reverse or park. I pulled out the tab so I could shift into park and checked all the visible fuses inside the car and in the engine compartment. Nothing was blown that I could see. Any ideas? Thanks, Dave.

Default No worries!

Never mind, I got it! It was a tapped wire that was over crimped.

Could include some more info about what you installed and which wire you crimped?

Might happen to someone else later, and it's possible (albeit remotely) that someone will search for solutions...
