Vin Checking

Is there a way to find out what a vehicles options are? I am looking at buying a GS430, but the guy has not called me back yet, and I know it is not sold. It says it on his voicemail. I was wondering how I can find out what options are installed in the car. I have the VIN, I checked with Carfax, but no luck there.. I am trying to find out if it has a spoiler, ML, or NAV.....

Any ideas?

why dont you go there and see the car for yourself or is he too far away?

I dont think you can by doing a VIN check. Maybe you can call a dealer and ask. If not you'd just have to wait until the owner gets back to you.

I am in San Jose and he is in LA. About 6 hour drive or a couple hundred bucks plane flight, plus the extra money my wife would spend if we go.....

ask him to fax you the info. The owner may still have the original window papers listing all the options.

On a side note....whatever happened to them $29 JetBlue or SouthWest one-way flights?

You have to book 2 weeks in advance. I learned that the hard way and had to pay $200 one-way for 2 passengers.

Yep, that's right. One way tickets without much advance warning = expensive, especially if you need to get tickets back home if the car is not what you want.....
