According to Lexus, the stock 400 has 300 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque, 300 has 225 and 220. Did anyone has done or seen any dyno to backup these numbers?

Thanks.

I haven't seen any dyno numbers, but many of the board regulars must have 'em. I'd be interested to see, also.

Don't forget that the factory numbers are at the flywheel. Rear wheel power will be less. I think that the typical correction for RWHP is about 15%. Therefore, if a motor puts out 300 HP at the flywheel, it should register about 255 RWHP. I also think that dynos factor in a correction for altitude and weather, but I'm not sure on that one.

I do not know the correction for RW torque.

Go to www.swiftracing.com and check out his dyno pics.
Mo did a before and after so you could see the power gained by the HFI/ECU .

Actually NV, the drivetrain losses for the GS4 is more like 23.3%, now that really bites! 226.4hp and 235.3ft/lb

I agree drivetrain loss sucks. I wish i could buy something to prevent or reduce drivetrain loss. Instead of trying to get more power , figure away to keep what we have.

Only thing I can think of is a 6 speed manual. Other than that, I guess we'll have to continue in our quest for more ponies

Smile Valve Body

Biggie - The word I get from my RMM salesman is that their valve body is designed to firm up the shifts & increase the fluid pressure somewhat so there's a chance that it might increase the tranny efficiency. Been waiting on Mo's ECU myself because it allows for some programmability ( I have the RMM gears ) but don't know the latest on it's development? FWIW - MY driveline losses have averaged 20% based on all the dyno data I've accumulated. It's the same WinPep DynoJet 1200 HP rearwheel dyno that Mo uses, I think - I know these lossses will vary from car to car as well.

Oops, Jazziz, I forgot about the auto trans. I think that reduction for RWHP is about 15%, give or take, with manual trans, but the auto will suck up more HP so the reduction is bigger.
