EV ftw!!!
What exactly is involved?
What exactly do you get out of this? I am not sure what the benefits are - going to such a thing? Forgive my stupid question - I realize you will know what your horsepower is, but I already know that anyway, so why would I go to a dyno day?
Please elaborate.......

Re: What exactly is involved?
its not a stupid question
basically a dyno is just like an emission tester(has those huge rollers on the ground
except measures horsepower and torque plus some machine can measure more variables.
Now if you are making performance mods to a car that invole the drive train it can tell you if the change made a negative or positive impact
also gives you a good idea of how much of the 300 hp power is lost and what really ends up at the wheels
now it isn't a big deal on a bone stock car but works for mine as i should have done this before i started as almost every car is different from a book list
hell you could go on different days and test performance value of gas stations,as an idea
hope this helps
