Is there anyway if I bought an 01 Nav HU and the DVD drive in the trunk, would I be able to convert my HD Navi to the DVD version???


I searched and couldn't find anything

is there anything more involved to this swap??

I take it seeing mine in person made you wanna upgrade? Bigger screen? Was it the comment I made? Let me know if you are gonna do it... definetly interested in seeing it done. I think it should be able to be done and easily too (speed sensor and other equipment should be the same).

 

I was just asking about the same thing in another thread, is it possible to use the existing screen in the 98-00 models? and just plug in the DVD unit?

 

i don't think it's going to be easy, i heard they have different harness. plus most of the 01+ nav (unless it's 2001) they have ML together with it, now we are talking about a full upgrade

all I gotta say is.......one of yall is lettin me take ur dash apart to see if our harnesses interchange

 

damn i wanted a black on black 430.. couldn't find one so i took a silver one instead..
but im starting to notice silver looks better when its dirty compared to the black

ntshabby is just jealous cause he dont got the dvd navi.. hahah..

 

What i plan to do....And hopefully it will work...Is get the AVElectronic unit, and than just hook up PS 2 to it....Use the ps2 as a dvd player....Se***s more inexpensive to do...Hopefully it all works out...
