Default Thinking about buying some junction produce

I'm kinda new and old at this, new because I hardly write any posts and old because I enjoy reading about lexus stuff, ANYWAYS

Been saving up a whole lot of $$$$ for some JP stuff(bodykit and wheels). but I'm concern...

I thinking about the 19 inch scara oz wheels but do you think it would look SUVish if I didn't put a negative camber on my car and slammed too the ground. Kinda wanna keep the car a comfortable and drivable as much as possible(wife likes to sleep alot during long trips).

I know it's going to be shaky but I wonder how you guys feel with your 19's. I'm wondering what is the optimal setup geared more towards comfort, with the look. I'm not really into driving this thing like a track car. I've seen all the sizes so I'm thinking something wider but not that wide.

So with these wheels what do you guys think is the best suspension setup geared towards comfort knowing that I'll need new suspensions and brakes to handle the wheels?

I think from some research that you guys liked coilovers better. Does anyone know of any reviews about these suspensions or did you guys did some poll or review? Trying to think of key words but I'm sort of stuck.

Also I still have the OEM wing(the one that looks like a wing not the sport edition). Should I leave it on with the body kit or use the JP spoiler. Anyone good at photoshop that could slice and dice. I remember seeing someone on this forum that has fantastic photoshop skills when I was looking at the 2006 GS but I forgot the name.

Just wanna get some info and ideas before committing.

THANX for the responses.

I'll try to search for that thread. Do you guys know which group buy is that on so I know that I'm looking at the right thing. I talked to junctiongs or I think it's johngs to order some simple stuff like magazines and I got it fairly quickly. maybe the guy is over worked, who knows. Anyways I'm going to try to find the thread but I still got 4 months to wait or 3 depending when this blasted snow goes away. I don't wanna mod anything in the snow. Thanx a lot for that info about JP suddenly "disconnecting" or something.

It takes quite some time for this stuff to be delivered... so even if you order it now, you probably wont get it till spring time if lucky. I would also wait to see how this issue is resolved before placing an order with JP.

agree. i think it's best interest for everyone to hold off until everything is clear, before more jp purchases are made. it will take a long time, but you want to be sure how long

and congrats, that's baller move

for the lowering, i think coilover is ok. i don't really associate slamming with jp.

and for wing, i think the jp wing looks better

You don't have to slam 19s to avoid a 4x4 look. It's when you put on stock suspension and bigger wheels that you will look like 4x4-ing. Maybe in your case, you should get some nice aftermarket shocks and springs that will only lower the car an inch or so and call it a day.

You will only need to slam your car the way John does his if you are sick b**t**d like some of us here.....

Congrats on stepping over to the dark side! (of modding). As far as the 4x4 with 19" thing goes, as JT noted, a moderate to aggressive lowering will do the trick (no need to slam the car on the ground). There are a couple of cars around with 19s that look nice lowered (bitkahuna is a good example). There are TEIN coilovers on his car.

As far as the JP stuff goes, I have to echo the sentiment of others and advise you to wait until the waves calm down before jumping in. I really hope things turn out well for JP.

In the interim there are other ways to obtain that VIP look, such as

AutoCouture, WALD, VEILSIDE, etc etc. And these are readily availible.

Good luck, and if you need anymore help, post on up, we love spending other folks' money!
