What's the consensus, chrome trunk bar or leave it alone?

 

thats a tough one...do you plan on upgradeing the exhaust to some shiny polished mouths? if so than i say yes since its a dark color..

 

I don't see myself buying exhaust anytime soon, & if I did it would be something mild like Borlas.

 

I'm gonna get one...as soon as santa brings back some money.

My car is black and I am gonna do it, but I want to black pearl the numbers so there won't be too much chrome...but thats just me.

You could always get the chrome bar and if its too much chrome for you change it or sell me the bar .LOL

That's cool. I think if you're getting black pearl emblems you should get a black pearl trunk bar too.

 

Honestly, Chuck, I think it looks great the way it is. The switch from gold to chrome badges was a huge improvement. I really like the subtleness of the pine pearl, and I wouldn't change your trunk bar for that reason alone. I think the chrome bar would really jump out and say "Hey, look at me," and I think your car looks nice and understated the way it is. Then again, as the previous poster said, you could always put one on and take it off if you don't like it. Couldn't you superimpose a chrome one on that picture to see how it looks?

well, from my last poll (and also what i feel), if you debadge, yes, the trunk bar will look good. if you don't debadge, i think it's a bit too much

 

I think the chrome trunk bar looks the best with a debadged trunk with just the L in the middle. Clean and classy.

 

I agree. The rear end looks too busy if not debadged w/ chrome bar.

 

how bout black chrome/pearl bar instead?

 

I like black pearl emblems alot on Silver cars and it's ok on white. I don't care for black emblems on dark cars and a black chrome trunk bar won't match the chrome emblems

 

Well, I did it and I like it. If I knew how to post pictures on here I would show you how it looks. BTW my car is black onyx, GS 400 with no spoiler but I think I'd like to put one on.
