I did a very similar thing back in the early days at SRT (1999) when I dropped off my bone stock GS with Mo and got the SRT intake / ecu, torque converter, borla exhaust and bilstein / eibach suspension done... all in one weekend! Only the Borla exhaust is left on my car now (the others have made their way to other CL members as I've continued to change mods).

Best of luck with your new mods, you'll love it.

Edit - I believe TTurbopimp also lives near Crofton, you should hook up with him. Work buddy of mine grew up there to, haven't seen him in years. Big family, the Trasatti's.
Hey, I can remember a black lowered GS4 in my neighberhood a few years back. And it was sweeeeeeeeetttttttttt. I mean, me and my friends talked about his car many a night. I think that guy lived about 6 blocks from me too. I haven't seen him or that car in a long while though. Actually, I was never a real GS fan in terms of style...until I saw his. Then I was like....well, I would buy HIS. LOL

If he is still around, let me know. Man, his black GS was a monster.

LMAO...yes, you are all here to help me...spend all my money.

Iz all good. I'm a car nut so I'd do it anyway, with or without CL. You guys just enable me to do it faster, and more extravagantly...and most importantly, wisely and prudently. And since I basically drive for work (settlement agent), I can always justify transportation purchases.

And Panda for his lighting advice, and for my clear fog lights. I hope one day soon, I am the one offering well-founded advice as opposed to the one always seeking it. My time is coming...
congrats on what you have gotten for your car so far kevin, it's great to have you here always. to me that's all about what the forum is for. read information, get educated, and get help when you need some. at least in my eyes, the GS forum is pretty matured right now already, we have a lot of people who know a lot about the car and are more than happy to help other people out. this is very nice, a lot better than some of the forums i frequent

oh and kevin, i am not sure if you were referring to me. but just in case, you are welcome

Kevin....nice write up my friend....very nice indeed.

I gaurantee when you get your car back tomorrow...or today for you because its already 10pm here...but anyways...when you get your car back you will definately love it 10000000 times more, a TC, HFI, TEIN, and 19's will definately make you feel as if ur driving a road king instead of a family sedan.

As far as the swap goes, you are definately welcome. If you need anymore sets of clears for any reason just let me know...i have a few more sets around...I like the yellow ....but thats just me...

We expect a full write up on the feeling of your ride when you get it back...till then
make sure you still have money in the bank haha

Yes, Rom means Romini...of course I was referring to you. Thanks again for all your help.

And Panda, I will give another write-up of my GS experience sometime soon once I experience my new mods. My bank account is empty right now, but my stocks are doing well, and my real estate investments are on the move. So, I'm OK...as long as the market doesn't crash, and real estate stays valuable.

So even with no money left in my slush fund, I still think I have one last mod before I stop for the winter season: I want that TTE front lip. It's only going to be about $400-450 or so once its painted. I can work that into the budget by next month I believe. I am just giving out hugs for XMas so I'll be allright. I think after the lip, and my personalized tags, I'm done..........'til spring anyway.

Thanks again, Panda, for the clear fogs.

Oh yeah, I have one other thing I gotta get: a digital camera. But I am getting a cheapy $150-200 one. Hey, I gotta cut corners some where, right? (pun intended)

No, no, not jealousy...envy.

See, in my previous car that I so dearly loved, my 1995 Mazda Millenia S, I waited to do any mods...and that car still looks great today I might add. (I will take pictures of that car too come pic time) Well, I waited until 130,000 miles to upgrade to 18s and then waited 'til 165,000 miles to get it lowered. Both of these substantially added to my joy of driving that car, and I love to drive. I promised myself that never again will I wait. If I have the money, I will get it done just as I want when I buy it so damn near every mile I drive that car, it will give me maximum enjoyment.

In comes the Lexus... And here I go. LOL

I have always enjoyed personal tags, and have always attained those right away. I have decided to just add the other mods to the list too.

So, now, every mile I drive, I will enjoy the car to the fullest.

And since I spend A LOT of time on the road, it's money well-spent for me, an avid lover of the road.

And in the end, even with mods galore, I baby my cars. I only drive in any extreme fashion on occasion. I just want the potential more than anything else, and the look.

I got 245,000 out of my 1990 twin turbo Z, all with the original turbos, believe it or not. My engine died before the turbos. That's unheard of with a turbo sports car. And in 2001 when the car died, I was STILL able to sell just the body of the car with no working engine for $4,500...that's how well I kept up the car.

My Millenia has 198,000 miles, and people think I just bought it a few years ago...even though it's almost 10 years old.

The Lex will be no different. I baby my cars to a large extent, but when I want to hammer it, when on a lonely country road or something, or if I am trying to remove myself from traffic, I want to be able to have almost instantaneous, yet quiet and smooth, velocity.

These mods only approach how much I was going to spend anyway on a 540i Sport. The one I was ready to buy was $36,000 dollars, and it was clean as a whistle, very well kept with 26,000 miles.

The Lexus only cost me $27,500. You do the math. I still got room for more mods, in my book. LOL

Nawww, seriously, I just want that lip for now. And my personalized tags. Then, I think I'm done for a while.

But Panda reminds me that everyone at CL has said that, only to want just one more mod by the end of the week.

Yup. The CL disease. I find it is OK if you are not on CL everyday (after you get over the withdrawal )

haha you are welcome kevin, i didn't help much at all.

but yes, the disease is just going to grow more and more. look at me, a bit more than 2 yrs and just how much stuff i have gotten for the car. i am glad to say that i am finally ALMOST gone with the gs4 so i am not as eager as before on the mods, but then the problem is i already think about the next car!
