Brian, a pick and hammer should do the trick for a new windshield
Wouldn't be such a good idea for me here in Michigan. I have to pay, up to my deductable, for replacement windshields. That's $500 out of my pocket for a new Toyota windshield. My folks and I used to live in Florida and the state requires insurance to replace windshields for free due to all the construction trucks on the road. What's ironic is that the crack actually happened while I was in Florida but, because my car is reg'd in MI, I had to pay out of pocket.
