Veilside kits....
I did a search and then I've come across other info from sites.... are the K1 kits Fiberglass or Carbon Fiber reinforced Fiberglass??? also.... how low does the front bumper hang??? any of you guys have much problems w/ scrapes??? I have a real bad problem w/ bumping my previous cars bumper into those bumper stoppers at the parking lots.
the K1 kit is always FRP fiber reinforced plastic. it does not come in carbon. atleast in the U.S.
as far as kits being low...if you put on a kit its gonna hang lower period...even if you run at stock height... if you are running into the concrete blocks then its obvious that you are not used to having a lowered car or having a kit. just be more careful....
heres a trick I use. if you are parking next to a car in a parking spot look at the reflection in their door panel... you can usually see the front end of your car getting closer to the bump stop or sidewalk...
g'luck

I park far away from the sidewalk or bump stops.. So far that my friends or coworkers say that the rear of the car will get hit by passing cars.

Wow, I thought I am the only one who does that hahahah...but over hear we park a$$ first because of our tight parking spots, you can't really manouvre your car in head first, usually this avoids getting the bumper from being hit by the concrete stops coz the rear bumper usually hangs higher anyway, if anything, you'd destroy your mufflers first...

veilside kit is aggressive.
They are not as agressive as the Greddy Lip, or the WIN front bumper. With mine I was worried at first that the bumper would hang lower, but it seems to sit just about an inch or two from the stock bumper. Now, if you're saying they are agressive in "Look" wise, I have to disagree as well, they are subtle but you would definately tell that it is not stock!

LOL. You must have gotten used to seeing that front end on your car everyday because that front end is not subtle at all to me.

(except at night of course in my garage)
Thanks guys.... great info!!! when I had my kit on my IS I hit it 1 time and since then I've parked sort of far from the PL stopper. But now that I got a GS the dimensions are way different so I guess I'll have to learn it over again. hehehe you guys are full of usefull ideas... i've never thought about using the reflection.... lol and hear I am thinking about finding a small mini-cam to install in the front. WestCoast Customz MTV here I come!!! Woot Woot. btw..... that was the info I was looking for.... 2inches from stock... PERFECT! I was afraid it was low like some of the other bumpers I've seen... ex WIN.
