Please Help!!!.....
Do I just pop off the other plate like with a flathead screwdriver or something?? I hear that the new shifter doesn't fit EXACTLY so what should I do? Double sided tape? Crazy glue?? Someone suggested "GOOP" but I don't know where to get that. I'll check my local hardware store!!
So please, if anyone knows how to do this install, please let me know so I can have my chrome shifter for tongiht, SAT NIGHT!!!!!!!!!

I got to the dealership that sold me the Chrome bezle and they informed me that the Parts Department CLOSES at 1pm!! What kinda ISH is that?? Close at 1??
Well I have to wait to get my piece but this will give me some time to find out how to REMOVE the old one and INSTALL the new one!!
Thanx

I still would like some help on this install though. I DON'T want to scratch or ruin anything by NOT doing it the right way.
Thanx everyone!!

To replace your PRNDL plate ring from the black rubberized plastic on the GS400 to the black chrome plastic PRNDL plate ring of the GS430 its easy.
1. Gently pull out on the top of the ring closest to the ash tray. As you get your finger underneath the old rubeberized plastic ring pull up on both sides evenly. If its tough, then pull up on one side at a time. The rubberized plastic will flex as you pull it out of place. There are no screws or fastners to worry about.
2. The new PRNDL plate has to be placed with the side with the plastic "L" brackets on the PRNDL plate first. I would recommend to place a very thin strip of two way tape on the top (closest to the ashtray) and on the opposite side of the "L" brackets. If the new PRNDL plate snaps in and holds you don't really need the 2-way tape.
You don't need any tools.
good luck
