Question Question for GS owners

I'm wondering if anyone has this problem. Here is the scenario if and when I use my Turn signal indicator to make a lane change obviously it will not automatically go off after I change lanes. There has been several times where I will use my turn signal to change lanes and I'll have the music on and never realize the turn signal is on until I look at it again. Is there suppose to be some sort of Indicator, Horn or Beep to notify the driver that the turn signal is still on?

Please help. Thanks in advance for your responses

By the way I have a 2001 Gs430

Um, you have to turn the wheel so much before the indicator will automatically turn off.
It will not 'time out' or indicate with a noise that it is still on, well except for the blinking light on the dash, and a faint clicking noise.

I have the same kind of problem sometimes when I get off a roundabout.
I have just learned myself to switch it off manually.

Whew!!! I thought I was the only person experiencing this. I don't listen to my music and a extremely loud level but I seem to forget that my turn signal is on until I notice people looking at me like are you going to move over or what... I guess I wish my GS had a little tone / indicator to remind me to turn off my indicator
when I forget....

Thanks Guys

Well it does have a clicking sound while it is on, but it is so faint it might as well be completely silent.

What makes it even more worse for me is that I have the steering wheel set at its lowest point and even though I have the GS430 gauge bezel, the turn signal indicator light is obscured by the steering wheel. So not only can I not hear it, but I can't see it either!! I always turn it off manually except for 90 degree turns when it turns itself off.

I think it is a Toyota thing, have three now and 3 in the past. In you turns you just have to hit the right point for it to click off.

There's this device that I rely on to help in situations like you're describing: short-term memory.

well usually for lane change, i don't fully click the turn signal. i only push them enough so the signal starts, so as soon as i am in the other lane, i let go of my hand and it stops
