Welcome to the forum. Try searching for this topic again. TI II has covered this not very long ago because he was also looking for one...for his lady. She's so lucky

Changes every year, check the model year library on the Lexus site. These are for the GS400 / 430.

The GS Series has a few minor problems. The earlier years (98/99) have more quirks then the later years, but both have been known to have:

Moisture in Healights
Low/rough Idle Issue
Door Actuator Problems
Dash Rattle
Sunroof Rattle
Vibration at Highway Speed

all i gotta say is that is a really wonderful way of joining a website...
i am happy to be here.

quick question i work at a bodyshop (high end bodyshop) and i am definately going to kit my car out. so my question is can most of the kits that are in the gallery section be bought in canada or the states??? or is it all aristo jdm stuff???
cuz i want to get a kit for her badly.

and one more question i havent really checked out the links yet but i will but just incase its not there.

how many different trim levels did the two models come in???

i read somewhere somthing bout either nav/ml etc... but what exactly are they???
i am lookin at a lexus gs400 and the owner said its a premium package so whats so special about that?
sry for all the stupid questions but i just dont like buying cars and then thinkin ohhh man i could have bought something better.

Welcome to Clublexus. I suggest.
1. napkins
2. ice cold drink
3. chips
4. salsa
5. your music playing over your PC

And since you said you don't know anything, it' s best to just READ through here. Then you can have specific questions where we can help afterwards.

Dave's links are a perfect start.

The kits in the gallery are Japan-only kits. But knowing the right people can get you the right kit. If you are willing to fork out a lot of money, wait a loooooong time for transport, then contact Steve Ganz (SUPRATRD) to purchase one.

I'm looking to buy a GS myself. Can anyone tell me if a gs430 can be supercharge like the 400? Any good power mods you guys would suggest that make it fly? I have a good SC400 which kick my neighbor bmw 318i ***. But he just got his monster E55 AMG. so far, I got burn by my neighbor (Friend) E55 AMG. He's more of a German car guy and I'm a Japanese car guy. I know GS is one of the strongest japanese sedan. Please help! Thanks in advance.

If you really wanna fly, i say get a GS300 with the 2jz-ge and do a NA-T setup. Something along the lines of a T60-1 or something like that and all the goodies that come along with it. You shouldnt have much trouble keeping up with the e55 if done right. Even with the supercharger on the GS400, you still might have some trouble keepin up with a e55, those things just fly. But from what i remember, there is a supercharger for both the 400 and 430 by SRT. But either way, FI will cost more than an arm and a leg.

good luck!
