Does anyone have the templete for a spoiler install of a 2nd Generation GS? It would be for the OEM spoiler. Thanks in advanced

I don't recall anyone ever posting they had a template in the past.... Might want to try the dealer to see if they have one you can use.Originally posted by alredxiii

Let me know if they are able to get you a template. I'm considering taking off my current spoiler and putting on the OEM and I'm trying to figure out whether the holes will match up.Originally posted by alredxiii

find a body shop i just had mine done the gs is prewired for a spoiler so the wiring is no problem if you do it on your own and have never done it you will have problems the bodyshop will make a template out of boadr its simple when you know how

i would go to the Lexus dealer.
The OEM spoiler installation is probably different than most aftermarket spoilers, and will require you to drill special holes.
The holes cannot be reached from the inside of the trunk ...

I think Steve from Carson Toyota has the template. I don't know how much it costs tho.
Keep us update...I'm thinking about adding a OEM spoiler too.

Update...I went to the dealship, they have some one off site that does the install, but would charge about $150 and they still don't have the template, the body shop I went to quoted me $120, I am going to e-mail Steve and see if he has the Template. Wish me luck

Consider yourself fortunate that you don't have an existing spoiler that you're trying to replace. I am in the process of changing the spoiler on my trunk. I was pretty sure the holes needed for the new spoiler wouldn't match up, but I was hoping that the new spoiler would at least cover up the old holes. No such luck. It's looking like I'll have to repair/repaint the entire trunk lid if I want to make the switch. Good luck with the new spoiler.

alredxiii , you dont need a template to install the OEM Spoiler - look at the pic below. Is it the same you have??? If so then you can do this:
You should of gotten brackets that screw into the spolier?correct?
screw them into the spolier(to the 2 holes on the spolier),
put 3m tape on the back side of the bracket,
once that is done just place the spoiler on the truck ,
once you have it lined up push down on the spolier just to make sure the 3m tape sticks,
now you can remove those 2 screws so that all you will have on your trunk is the 2 brackets all lined up
then make your holes in your trunk while the brackets all still in place
this is how i did mine, took about 1/2 very easy
If you dont have those brackets connect steve and he will get them for ya
check out this thread https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...5&pagenumber=1
it has the part sheet w/part numbers on page 2

Hey alredxiii
How's the installation? Is that a easy 1/2hr job?
Did you order screws and brackets to do the installation? Is the brake light just plug n play with exist harness?
Glad your spoiler came out great. I'm still looking for one.
