Cool My 2nd Mod is complete

TRD STB...

Definately feels tighter, LOVE IT!

Was I supposed to remove the black brackets that were previously there? With the black brackets still in place I could not get the bar on so I removed them. I wouldn't think it would be a problem since the STB metal is about the same depth where the nuts tighten, however the STB does touch the engine cover instead of clearing it completely.

Tomorrow I am renting a lift on base to install the L-Tuned exhaust and I will most likely install the L-Tuned Steering ECU tonight.

In answer to your question, yes, the black metal rings are supposed to come off. It is the only way it will go on. It should clear your engine cover by a fraction of a millimeter, if not check to see that it is fully seated and tightened down. If they are just barely touching though, I wouldn't worry about it, it's not like you can take it off with the STB installed anyways.

It is barely touching... just a little worried about what effects it might have on the cover long time with heat and movement.
