Default My trunk release button is locked and I have no master key, Is there another way?

Is there another way I can pop my trunk release lock so that I wont need the master key. I brought my car almost 2 years ago and when purchased they Master key did not come with it and it is so expensive to have made. However, my trunk is locked from the inside and therefore I cannot get in it without pulling the dash and hot wiring the release button. This is a pain to do every time so I am not able to use my trunk at all. I only go through the trouble when a brake light needs changed. The locksmith I spoke with told me it would cost around $250 to change the lock. Is there any other way?

2001 Lexus gs300 - I believe it is 2nd generation....

Take your registration with you to the dealership and order a cut key. You don't need to order the entire key. They can get you one that is just the key portion only.

I got sometime to check it out and it's pretty easy since you already know how to drop the panel the trunk release button is located. I'll attach a couple of pictures but on the back of the button you pushed in there is a brass colored clip. Pop that off or slide it up like the pic and there is a little black plastic button to push and bingo your unlocked

It's hilarious. You even posted the link for him to come and see how to do it and he's too caught up to even notice.
