I just noticed that my drivers door does not lock when I activate the factory alarm? All the other doors lock and the alarm activates. I checked the lock and it works fine manually, what gives?

Is this covered under the factory warranty?

could this be the door actuator again?

 

I had the exact problem 2 weeks ago. Total cost at the dealer is 280 parts + 115 labor. but I got extand warrenty. so free for me.

I had the same problem about 2 years ago. It lasted for a couple of days. Then it was intermitent, and after a few weeks or months ( I don't remember anymore), it just went away and never came back!
My car was never hit and the door cover was never removed.
Wait a while and see what happens. I had a similar intermitent problem with my door light sensors but that went away as well, keep in touch.
