Blue,

There are a few more dynos if you search a bit more / deeper. Results are wide between 220 and 270 w mods.

That should get you started, there are more .

Make sure you're also looking at RW Torque numbers - those are just as important (maybe more) for launching.

TC and LSD should not change the HP numbers at all. If you have an aftermarket TC it should be locked down for the dyno so you don't get a spike in TQ numbers (I think I've gotten 310 TQ on mine at one dyno when it wasn't locked down).

Bluelex,
we'll be dynoing 4 GS's with various levels of mods at the Dyno / Meet happening at the end of this month.

There will also be a 4.9 liter SC, some IS's and other various vehicles dynoing too.

We will also be doing an independent shoot out of the following performance parts:

K & N FIPK vs. Stock Intake -GS

Toms Air Filter vs stock air filter , both using the stock intake system - GS

PLP Intake vs. stock intake - IS

TM plugs vs stock iridiums - IS

Here's more details about the Dyno / Meet:

Question How about this?

I think it would be interesting to do two runs on the same car with 20" wheels and then swap on a set of stock 16s (rear only of course). Just curious how the different weight would affect the dyno run-if at all. I realize it won't change the actual HP of the engine of course, but the rear wheel HP numbers could be different, correct?

Great point, I think it would be very interesting to note the differences bt the 20s and 16s!

Thumbs up

Shouldn't take long with the right tools on hand. If you can do it, be sure to get an accurate weight on the two sets of wheels and tires for comparison.
Along similar lines, it would be interesting to do a 1/4 run the same way-two sets of wheels 20s and stock either 16 or 17s. I'm guessing many of the 20s will weigh close to 55-60lbs and I know the stock GS 17s and tires weigh 43 lbs. I'm sure that much un-sprung weight would make a difference-just curious how much...
