Default Navigation retrofit

Just wondering if anyone has been able to retrofit the navigation unit to the 2nd gen GS. If so how much did it cost and what was involved.

What do you mean by retrofit?

Displaying video to the unit? Installing NAV into a non NAV car?

Please clarify your question so that someone else can answer it. Thanks.

i am assuming he is asking about putting a nav in a non nav gs, i would really like to do this as well but just dont know where to find a navi system. bananags did this to his car but he used the older nav, the one with a harddrive not dvd. check out his website.

I purchased a stock nav system from bananags and installed it in my non nav gs.Instalation was pretty straightforward using his diy site and only took about 3 hours!!! I have since installed a tv tuner/av switchbox to it and everything works great!!!

How much was it to get the stock nav setup? One of the new headunits that do tuner/DVD/MP3/nav with LCD sounded good to me but pricey.

For those of you willing to wait a month or so for Nav, the guy at KC Trends (also a GS owner) was telling me about a new Eclipse double DIN head unit with built in navigation and dvd/cd/cd-rw/mp3 drive. Because it's double DIN the screen is on the face rather than flip out and it fits the space left by our stock stereo really well. Cost is only $2100 (not bad for what you get).
I think this may be it, not sure though:

in terms of putting nav in a non-nav car, i know 3 people on CL that have done it... BananaGS, Letsride, and kyle3481... each came out really nice. but the one that i liked the MOST was RMMGS4. he did a custom job and installed an aftermarket nav to make it look like OEM... it looks soooooooo sweet. i one day want to do what he did, but its not realistic for a person that doesnt have his skill

Do you know anyone who has it in there GS. Also can you find out if it has any kind of RCA inputs. I was trying to find some more detailed info and pics on this with no luck.......there website doesnt give you that much info. just a PDF file on the features

Too bad is doesnt have a hard drive built in for MP3 play/ripping like their other model has. It has everthing this one has but no NAV........

I don't have any spec information on it. I don't think it's available in any stores yet either.

If someone up there gets one of these I'll be up there in a flash. That sounds killer.
