Default somewhat new owner

Hi All,

Just wanted to introduce myself as a new owner. I bought a black on black 03 GS300 in Mar of 2003. I didn't discover Clublexus until I was searching the web to get ideas for mods. Anyway, this seems like a pretty friendly and helpful group. I'm located in So Cal. Does anyone in the area know the best place to get mods for the lowest prices? What mod is the best to start with? I loved MRSYPHER's car, and was sad to hear that it was wrecked. I guess I'm hoping to do something along those lines......

Hey hey. Another so Cal! I'm in Costa Mesa, where are you? This is the BEST
forum for Lexus. I spend at least an hour a day here and others basically live
here Everyone is saying Steve at Carson Toyota is the hookup.
First mod that I ever did was window tint. Is that a mod? But the first mod should
no doubt be the suspension. I have Bilsteins on mine with stock springs.
I have Eibach springs but don't think I will ever lower the car because
I transport people and stuff in the trunk (not people in the trunk ) so cannot
use low profiles.

I'm not sure about this but once your car is modded, you're going to be stuck with
your user id name: stockfornow-unless you can change it.
You'll get tons of info here!!!

Welcome to the club! I'm also in So. Cal and there's quite a few GS owners around. As far as looking for places to purchase parts from, you have almost an endless number of tuner shops and accessory stores. Just do a little shopping and compare prices, thats what I do

Thanks everyone for all your responses! I'm located in Pasadena, Cali. There are only a couple of shops around here like D2 and F1, but from what I can see, they don't mod too many GS's. I guess the first order of business would be to see if any of you guys know of a good body shop. I got a nasty ding in the first couple of months (it even chipped the paint ), before I even got my license plates.
It was definitely intentional.

D2 and F1 deals with mostly european accessories, but are very knowledgeable as far as wheels. tires and suspension for any car. SP Engineering(city of Industry) specialize in Japanese performance parts and installations. As far as accessories, Super VIP motoring(Alhambra) comes to mind. I also heard of a body shop called "Marco's" in your area that's suppose to be one of the very best. I know of a few little places around town for misc. things, just PM me if you need info.

Default Welcome!

I'm not too far from you (San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita area). Yeah, Carson Toyota (Steve) is great as is TM Engineering not far from Carson. Kind of a PITA drive from our area but worth it! I have been to F-1 Motorsport in North Hollywood and they gave me a good deal on my exhaust. Worth checking out for parts because it's close-ask for Alex.
Have fun with the mods, sorry to hear about the intentional body damage!
