From a legroom standpoint, I have not been in a car that rivals the 1st Gen!! The seats just goes all the way back, which allows your leg to straighter out. the 2nd Gen is only comforable because of the seating posistion, and the way it places your body, legroom though the 1st Gen is king!

On the top of the dash right next to the vent at the base of the windshield, I think there are 2 of them!

There's 2 blackish domes on your dashboard, near the front of the windshiefd. I believe one of the two is the "sunlight load" sensor for the climate control (i.e. if it's the same temp out, and if there is more sun, then it turns up the A/C more frequently), and the other is for your Optitron unit's brightness.
