Talking GS300 upper radiator hose

Hi all, I have been searching for an upper radiator hose replacement for my GS300 3.0L 2JZ for weeks, and keep getting the wrong part from Amazon. I got three different manufacturers -Gate, Dayco, and ACDelco. All three Amazon filters said it would fit the car, but when I got them, they were either too short or didn't fit at all. So I tried one more alternative route before I go to the stealer for the OEM hoses. I purchased a silicone radiator hose for a Honda CIVIC ($25 -12/7/2025 - slightly more than the three manufacturer replacement mentioned but 50% or more less than dealer.) which seems to having the same bends as the GS, an upgrade over the regular OEM hose since it's silicone instead of polys, and BAM!, it fits with a slight mod by custom trimming it since it is just too long(picture shows the section I cut out). Also, the factory radiator hose clamps don't work anymore because the silicone hose is much thicker than the OEM hose, so you'll need new hose clamps. Here is the Amazon link (

Looks like your old hose had lived a long life! Do you just have the stock engine? Or have you swapped it for turbo?

Yeah, I dont think I have replaced it since I got the car 80K ago (now it's 170K+ miles), so who knows if it's ever been replaced. It is NA and a daily driver, but I like to do some mods when I get a chance.

Shouldn't be hard to find the upper hose, but I guess you just got unlucky. Looks like a solid repair and silicone is considered an upgrade, so good work. "HPS" sells silicone upper/lower hoses if you ever want to look into a set that's fit for the car. I've been running them in blue for years now.

I’ve been thinking about getting the HPS hoses. Is there any issue running them on an NA car?

They have been good to me so far. They are pretty expensive, but good brands are.
