hey, i drove my dad's 1999 lexus GS 400 today....just like around the plan....and i brought it back and parked it....and i had so much fun i figured i'd take it out and fill up the gas tank....well i got back in and now the key wont turn...i waited acouple hours and tried again and it still wont turn....i'm alittle slow...can anyone help? lol
Sometimes the ignition gets locked with the wheel turned...I usually move the wheel back and forth and then turn the key. Sometimes you got to put a little, dare I say, force into it....

Listen to this man, he knows exactly what he's talking about! I got the same "problem" when I first got my car, didn't know how to operate it properly... Before you can take the car out of the ignition or turn, Shifter MUST, and I mean MUST stay in P (PARK).
Question: Are you sure you just took the car out for gas, not for pimping with the females???
Good luck!
GS4Fun: You're scaring the kid, his dad probably would give him a little "talk" we didnt' tell him how to fix the problem. HAHAHA
Hello There,
PLease be careful putting undue forxe on the ignition key. On delivery of the car, I noticed that one key was slightly cracked around the "panic" button, clear over to the right, past the red light indicator L.E.D. That was caused by someone NOT turning the wheel, and twisting the plastic key fob. I used some crazy glue (after I removed the inside, applied the glue and allowed to dry). Once reassembled, it seems to work well so far, but had it not worked, the new key is about $218 at Lexus and $147 at Sewell Lexus.
