Ditto, I as most of the other GS owners, I'm so glad you took the time. I was wondering where it was coming from myself. Now I can ride in silence whenever I want to.

Not really an alternative, but any Toyota dealer will have the stuff. It is actually called a noise reduction kit. There are two differen types, one is foam and the other is a felt kit. One kit should last for about 70 vehicles, given the type of work that is required. If you ask your Toyota parts people nicely, and ask a lot, they will hook you up, not with a kit but a few peices of course.

I was doing work on my ac servo and cd changer, and i notices the top screws do not catch. The one on the left spins, and the one on the right falls right out. What can I do?

its been ages since I’ve had mine apart. There may be metal or plastic clips that attach to the dash that the screws drive into. If that’s the case, just replace the clips. If the threads are actually directly in the dash you might have to up size your screws or retap the holes the screws go into.

Got any pics??

I couldnt find clips. The middle one threaded fine, the sid ones were very stripped, went in and out. I bought the next size up screw and ran it through the old threads, it caught good and holds the glovebox fine. Hope this helps
