Sorry, my car is a prized posession to me and I try to treat it well whenever possible.

I wouldn't ruin my Lexus just because I have the money to buy another. I love my Lexus.
It's a lease to me, so I can't really drop a SC or TB into it.
My alternatives are stretching the limits of the car.

Just take it out for 5 mins and put it back in. It probably only needs 30 seconds.

The difference you'll notice is shift points will be higher to start, shifts may feel smoother, and throttle response may be sharper. Of course if you drive it like a granny the car will stay that way after a couple of hundred miles.

Yes you are pulling a fuse but it should be for the ECU-B. There is no ECU-B label on the fuse.FYI - you will lose some settings. I believe radio and seat settings.
Another way to do it would be to pull the negative terminal off the battery. Check out these threads:

btw. I read someone's post here about the Nav... what gives??? TV/NAV le tme in on the details.
there are A LOT of REALLY SMART electronic guys on the forum, i'm sure if we all put our heads together we could come up with a way to crack adaptive driving!?! right? we did the TV/NAV thing, so why not this? it must be a simple hack that tells the ECU to keep it at max responsiveness at all times, the car CAN do it, the computer is just NOT LETTING it happen. Anyone know how to do this? if so please try, for all of us!!
I checked the fuse label, it's ECU-B1 on my 2000 GS400. No need to touch ANY OTHER FUSE. Also no need to disconnect battery. Of course disconnecting the battery will also reset the ECU but that's like hitting a nail with a sledgehammer.

With all this talk of burning out and this and that, your safest bet for real acceleration is either Turbo, Super, or the TC as some have suggested. Doing silly things that don't "need" to be done can create huge havok with the fine automobile we all have. Undue stress is also a part of making your car upset. heh.

Tien is very popular, but for the $$ can I lower my car cheaper by swapping in good lowering spring and keeping the L-tuned shocks?
IMO...what's IMO?...appologies for lack of acronym knowledge. For $500 I assume this is an entire headlight assembly replacement not just the lamp. If the lamps can be replaced, there's two lamps in each inner headlight...one in the inside corner and one centered. Can the lamps be replaced with brighter/whiter lamps...the amber fog light too?

I believe my problem is solved. My disadvantagbe was using cheep gas. The 87 octane was causing my sophisitacted car to retard the timing to prevent knocking. I never would of thought this was the problem especially since my car was running great gas milage at 25.5mpg and sounded good under the hood. The acceleration was pretty good too, but I knew something was wrong since I couldn't SMOKEM due to hesitation and there was this quiet period when the tranny would shift into 5th, like the throtlle was off for a fraction of a second then back on. I could hear it happen by listening to my L-tuned exhaust quiet just briefly.
So what did I do...I filled up with 94 octane the other night and the next morning I pulled the ECU-B1 fuse and replaced after about 20 minutes. What will my GS do now....
!!!! The hesitation is gone!!!
That's the good news. The bad news is I drew the attention of smokie-the-bear when I launched from a 4-way stop. Didn't see the the Kodiac-with-his-kodac, but got off with a warning....Display of Acceleration....

Would anyone put Civic wheels on a Corvette? Or gee, do ya think that might constrain performance?
Anyway, glad ya figured it out.
