Question Power folding mirrors from Japan

Hey all,
I found some chrome power folding mirrors from Japan and they are installed on the GS. However, the driver mirror is stuck in the fold position and the plug for the mirrors doesn't match the OEM harness, obviously. I don't need them to be power folding, as just want the turn signals and puddles lights to illuminate. Going to wire them up at a local sound shop but want to know if there is a way to get this mirror to unfold without having to figure out how to run power to it. We tried running various wires to a jump box to see if they would automatically unfold once power was ran to them, but we had no luck. I also bought a OEM Aristo switch, but that plug doesn't button up either. Can they be opened up at the hinge and unlocked to allow me to open it? Thanks so much!

Edit: Also, does anyone have a factory wiring diagram for the driver / passenger door harnesses for the mirrors? Need to find out what is what, so I can attempt to wire these up without having to take it to a shop. I try to do everything myself with this build, but electrical is always an issue for me, as these are older cars and the information is tough to find.

My US market manual does not show folding mirrors. You’ll need someone from a market with mirrors to help you get the diagram.

Sorry I can’t help more.

I'm sure there is a write up here with this very question answered with pictures and information. Just have to dig back to 2010 or something to find it, haha!

Late reply but, if you bought these mirrors with the harness it should be pretty simple. I don't think the jdm mirrors have heated mirrors so you will have extra wires from the usdm harness. The jdm power folding mirror harness side should have 2 extra wires that runs to nothing on the usdm harness. That is the -/+ wire for fold and unfold. You can use a 9v battery. If it doesn't unfold then switch the polarity to make them unfold.
