Default Headlight aim...

Hey guys,

My driver side headlight can be adjusted up and down, but cannot move left to right. It is basically aimed at the right side. No matter how many times it is adjusted (turning the adjuster), it doesn't move. Apparently something is stripped and therefore is not allowing it to move. What can I do?

Thanks

Bryan

I noticed I have the same problem with my vertical alignment. I keep turning the hex screw but no change. Any help anyone?

I just realized that since my aim on the right is ok. I can just aim the Right to the LEFT to compensate. Basically as a result of the Left aiming to the Right already. What do you guys think?

whoa.... i didn't realize we can adjust our lights up and down, i thought we could only do it left to right. (thank goodness for CL ). I know there are two screws where the headlight assembly is. One of them moves the light from left to right, so by process of elimination, the other should move it up and down??? mine doesn't up or down at all.. am i missing something?

I'm happy!! I made my lights low now and I am not blinding anyone. haha.

The outer scew on the top of the headlight, regardless of whether its driver or passenger side moves the light left and right. Clock wise turn of the screw moves it to the RIGHT, COunterclockwise moves it to the LEFT.

To aim the light up and down its the silver colored long metal piece behind the light. To adjust the aim up, turn the screw clockwise, and to move it down turn it counter...

In my case, my driver side aim is to the right. I cannot adjust it to the left. This is probably the result from the fender bender before I bought the car...Oh well, thats life!

DUDE. you typed it wrong Bryan.

The outer screw on top moves in left and right. Clock=right, counter clock=left.
the inner screw does nothing but move this little meter for future reference. don't even bother it doesn't move the light at all.

The screw on the BACK of the headlight moves the headlight up and down. its a long 8mm nut that sticks out the back of the housing. Clock=up, counter clock=down

YES!!! i've finally adjusted my beams the way i've wanted them. I'd had a fender bender before, and the aim has been off ever since...

good times...
