Right now I hope to start the project when IndyPwr Messages me back. Indypwr, what light bulbs are you using?

I am pretty excited as this is my first project and my next one will be the Philips 6000 K kit .. I'll keep you guys posted.

sweet!! can't wait to see how those'll look on the GS. I just finished a lil lighting customization on my GS... now I just need to find some yellow bulbs for the fogs... either that or I'm just gonna take out the fogs, cuz I can't stand having two different shades of "white".

You can use PIAA super yellow bulbs or something to do that.. I hope INDYPWR and I come up with a good idea in mounting these fogs because when the bulbs burn out, it will be a PITA to replace. hehehe

Why not use the stock style yellow bulbs that come with the newer GS? They are the same as what came with the Aristo in Japan. I love that color! When I got my JDM fogs to fit in the kit, I was pumped at the color.

I will do that if I'm unable to get it to fit after some shaving..... What kind of bulbs are you using Todd?

 

I have to be honest. I don't know what bulbs they are. They came with the fogs direct from Toyota. Doesn't the IS300 come with yellow fogs anyway? I would call Lexus and find which bulbs they use, then buy them at Pep Boys.

So what your saying is that you just bought a JDM aristo fog lights and it fits perfectly? I thought 2nd gen aristo don't fit for the 1st gen.....

No. When I got the Veilside kit, the stock fogs didn't fit. After consulting with Veilside, we discovered that the JDM foglights and the US Spec. fogs we had here were different. Veilside was not aware of this until I did mine since I was one of the first in the US to have the kit.

Veilside contacted their people in Japan and had them ship over 1st Gen Aristo foglights that would drop into the kit. Now, the foglights are included when you buy the kit.

The foglights showed up directly from Toyota Japan. They came with yellow bulbs, not the white that our cars came with.

What I am telling you is that the newer GS and the IS come with yellow bulbs, maybe I am reading the question wrong, but, you can get those yellow bulbs from Lexus and put them into your foglamp housing. These are YELLOW, not ORANGE. They look fantastic.

After seeing the picture, I can see that the IS fogs are a little different with the clear circle in the middle.

Welcome back. I did put the Fog lights in front of my existing fog lights and it fits the pattern. It will fit, but we will have to shave some inside the bumper to make it more narrow as that is how the IS fogs are. I am not sure about this Sunday, as I have a group meeting. Next sunday I am busy too. Darnn. How bout during the weekdays, such as Thursday after 6 and Friday all day? Thanks for your time Pat!!

Thanks for the info. Yeah, the newer GS's do come with yellow bulbs. The IS 300 fogs are not yellow bulbs. The bulbs are clear and NOT yellow. It is yellow because the Projector itself is Yellow and not the bulb. I just love how the yellow looks and that is why I want to do the conversion..
