For some reason the "TRAC" light loves to stay on, even when I'm not spinning the tires. I tried pushing the button to turn traction control off, but the "TRAC" light stays on right next to the "TRAC OFF" light. The car still seems to accelerate fine but that damn light is really annoying. Rather than ghetto fix it and just pull the bulb, I'd rather actually fix the problem. Anyone else ran into this? Any thoughts?
TRAC light is like the check engine light, it says in the manual to take it to the dealer if the light comes on. They won't charge you just to tell you why the light is coming on I don't think. Especially if you're getting an oil change there or something. Let us know what the prob turns out to be. Good luck....
Damn I was afraid I'd have to end up doing that. I've had several friends who work at dealerships, and if there's one thing they've all taught me it's "don't ever take your car to a dealership." Anyone have any recommendations for a Lexus dealership in the L.A./ O.C area?
I've noticed that the Trac light often comes on as an indicator to replace your brake pads... Try checking your rear pads. TheTrac sensors are on the rear.
