Default 93 gs300 traction problem

hey guys, got a problem with my traction. one day i was driving the check engine light came on, along with the trac light. then the next day the trac off light came one along with the check engine and trac light. then it went away. then maybe a week later when i start up the car everything is perfect then after i drive a lil while the trac light light up by itself, now yesterday the check engine light came on again along with the trac off light. would it be the trac computer or what? i just had a new engine put in but the same traction controllers were used. the things on top of the engine near the intake manifold. anyone have any idea?

also is anybosy using a stop light bulb from pepboys or anything? the warning light is on even though all of my stop lights work? the light only comes on after i start the car and press on the brake. Or would i have to buy a bulb from lexus in order for the light to go off?

thanks for any info/advice.

Kasper:

I'm having the EXACT same problem, and have scheduled an appointment at the lexus dealer. It happened after putting in my HID kit...

Peace,

Lyle

93 has traction control?? i don't. i have a 93. as for the bulb. its prolly a light bulb in the back. have someone step on the brakes for you when you go to the back. if the warning light is coming only when the breaks are applied that mean its one of the break lights. each section of lights in the back has 2 bulbs. and each bulb has dual filament. there is a total of 8 bulbs back there not including the turn signals. hope that helps

i paid 999 for the engine with a tranny, JDM engine and 900 to put it in, well worth it for me. Yeah my old engine had 137k on it i thought there was a problem with the cylinder. apparently the front exhaust pipe wasnt tighted enough and it was causing this metal flapping sound coming from the engine. If anybody is looking for any parts for the engine let me know, im parting out the engine. except the intake manifold is a lil diffrent from stock lexus one. the engine that i got is from a supra it has a lil diffrent setup. so i had to take some parts from the old engine put on the new one. But anyways as for my lexus dealer im never going back there again. i went there to check this problem out, and my button didnt work on my key. Stupid me i forgot to check the switch under the steering wheel. dealedrship told me i need a new key... everytime i go there they tell me i need new this.. new that. lol but im not mad about the engine i got a great deal on it.

jmai, as for the light bulbs they all work, the light its still on. the DEALERSHIP told me because its a aftermarket light its causing the light to come on.

i thought all mine were working too. its really hard to tell. you have to have someone step on it for you at night time or else you can't tell. i'm almost positive its one of your break lights. i had the EXACT same thing happen. when i step on the break for the first time the light would stay on until i shut off the engine.

it shouldn't really matter where you get it from. its just a regular 2-3 dollar bulb
