Someone stole my car and removed parts and I was wondering why my car doesn't start up and my dash doesn't light up.. I was told my ECU must have been stolen out of the car that why the dash won't light up, and my engine won't crank... What could be missing? Where is the ECU that starts the car up located? Which computer controls the electrical devices? What else do you think could be missing? The guys stole out my radio, climate control, Ashtray, the whole middle section of the car.. Any ECU's located behind the radio?

I have a 94 GS 300.

 

Maybe some of the wires inside the dash were ripped out, e.g. ignition switch wires, computer, etc. Check to make sure everything (except the radio & climate control of course) are hooked up.

 

damn man sorry for what happened! Damn thieves- I know how it feels. I doubt they would steal your ecu though....probably just a problem with wires bein ripped out and what not. Did you check the fuses? If you can't figure it out take it to an auto electrician tech. It could be worse...here's a pic of my previous car a 1997 Nissan Maxima when it got stolen.....lol it was stripped a little more than yours-the car was left on four cinder blocks....they took my 19in Giovannas, TV, system, full leather interior, door panels, airbags....on and on....thank god for insurance! the picture may be a little shabby....it's a picture of a picture

 

Dam dude, You got it worst than me... Makes me feel alittle better because it could have been worst. I hope it just some wires cut. Where is the Computer that starts the car up located at?
