Front Upper
1.Raise and support vehicle then remove front wheels.
2.Remove front shock absorber and coil spring as outlined.
3.Support caliper in a shock absorber bolt hole.
4.Remove upper suspension arm bolts, then upper suspension arm.
5.Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a.Prior to completely tightening upper suspension arm bolt, stabilize suspension by installing wheels and bouncing vehicle up and down several times. Then tighten upper suspension arm bolt.
b.Torque upper suspension arm bolts to 39 ft.lb.
Rear Upper
1.Raise and support vehicle and remove wheel and tire assembly.
2.Remove rear driveshaft.
3.Remove No. 1 suspension arm to axle carrier nut, then using special service tool No. 09628-10011 or equivalent, disconnect lower suspension arm from axle carrier, Fig. 89.
4.Place match marks on No. 1 suspension arm adjusting cam and body, then remove adjusting cam, nut and lower suspension arm.
5.Disconnect shock absorber and stabilizer bar link from No. 2 lower suspension arm.
6.Remove No. 2 suspension arm to axle carrier nut, then using special service tool No. 09610-20012 or equivalent, disconnect lower suspension arm from axle carrier, Fig. 90.
7.Place match marks on No. 1 suspension arm adjusting cam and body, then remove adjusting cam, nut and lower suspension arm.
Installation
1.Install rear drive shaft.
2.Install No. 2 suspension arm to axle carrier with a new nut. Torque nut to 110 ft. lb.
3.Connect No. 2 suspension arm to body and temporarily install adjusting cam and nut. Align matchmarks on adjusting cam and body.
4.Temporarily connect shock absorber to No. 2 lower suspension arm.
5.Connect stabilizer bar link to No. 2 suspension arm and torque to 26 ft. lb.
6.Install No. 1 suspension arm to axle carrier with a new nut. Torque nut to 43 ft. lb.
7.Connect No. 2 suspension arm to body and temporarily install adjusting cam and nut. Align matchmarks on adjusting cam and body.
8.Install rear wheel and lower vehicle, then bounce vehicle up and down several times to stabilize suspension. Jack up vehicle and remove rear wheel.
9.Support rear axle carrier with a jack and torque lower shock bolt to 106 ft. lb. and No. 1 No. 2 lower suspension arm adjusting cam bolts to 136 ft. lbs with matchmarks aligned.
10.Install rear wheel and torque to 76 ft. lb.
11.Lower vehicle and check rear wheel alignment.
Front Upper
1.Raise and support vehicle then remove front wheels.
