ok who has replaced them and how much. i definietly wanna stay away from the dealer and save some money. anyone try autozone or any of those places yet?

Check out this forum. I checked out the referred web site, and they carry replacements shocks, but only for SC models. If they fit our cars, I'd say you are in luck.

i have seen that thread already. but i want to make sure someone has got it before me and know it works. i don't feel like returning and wasting money and all that stuff. THANKS

Why don't you just take one of the struts out and go to AutoZone or wherever and see if you can match it up with what they have. I was at this place called O'Reily's and they had a whole bunch of different sizes in stock. It doesn't bother me that much so I'm probably going to leave mine for a while.

Hey,Jamai... I have been searching a lot and found nothing other that a Lexus dealer, $62 per strut!!! Even Pep Boys could not help. However, I have ordered 2 devices that piggyback on the defective front hood struts and are spring loaded so that when you open the hood all the way, an arm catches the end of the existing strut and keeps it extended. It is back-ordered right now from J.C. Whitney in Indiana... but when I get them, I will let you know if they work. This might be an improvement on your broom and my wood stake.
