New intro.
What's up ladies and gents. I'm new here. I am looking for a gs300 to buy asap. Year 93-95. I'm am going to do the 2jZgte swap. I'm am new to the Toyota/Lexus scene. I am use to doing Srt-4s and dsms. Any tips would be great on what I should look for in the car I am buying. And also a good reputable place to buy a clip from. Thanks guys.
Sory for the misunderstanding. This was not a wtb thread. I am looking for tip on problems or areas I should look at in the car for common issues. I am looking local for a car. And wanted tips on where to buy a clip from people that have done so with a good experience.
Worn ball joints in the front, vibrations going 40-60mph, all windows work, outside trim around the windows not bent/pulling away from the door, trunk and hood stay open without assistance (good stuts), cat converters not clogged, power seats work in all directions, all lights work (fogs and tails when lights are on), regular transmission service/clean fluid, and still has a working remote key that locks and unlocks the doors. These are some of the most common weak/failure points on the GS300. Usually the engine/drivetrain are good to go, most GS300's I see in junk yards are there because they're wrecked not because they don't run.
Oh, almost forgot, warped rotors or sticking calipers...get up to highway speeds and lightly get on the brakes, if the steering wheel starts shaking you've got warped rotors (most likely).
