driver side fender. help!!

driver side fender. help!!
i kinda dented my friends first generation gs300 driver side fender, and he's charging me $400 -__-. is this a reasonable price? because i was thinking a fender should only cost about $100 used. is he ripping me off?!

Well lets just think about that. The 1st gen GS300 isn't exactly a Mustang or Camaro when it comes to sales volume. In a typical year in the mid-90s, Ford would sell about 150,000 Mustangs. The highest sales volume year for the 1st gen GS was 1993, when they sold a little over 19,000. So there aren't exactly a pile of them out there to begin with. Now you need one that is wrecked- but one wrecked specifically in such a way that didn't damage the fender you are interested in. And of course, since you $100 budget doesn't allow for paint, it needs to color match. And this fictitious fender can't have already been bought by someone else. Of course, the internet might help here? Perhaps mail order? Nope, you're in freaking Hawaii. Shipping costs will be insane.

yeah well i did the damage about a year ago and he never said anything about it till recently. I think he's just jacking up the prices because he wants to get body kits and stuff. his mom is basically paying for everything for his car. idk, im like his bestfriend too so i dont wanna just assume he's ripping me off so he can buy **** for his car.

i seen ur friends car, you didn't only dent the fender but u also broke his driverside headlights and crack his front bumper. The crack isn't small either its about 16inches.
