Default Help with lights!!!!

i got the 9006 hid lights from ddm but i noticed the base of the light doesnt fit into the housing on my jdm lights... what do i do? the tabs are good its just the base is way to big to fit

ya i know its 9005 but i was told you can shave the tavs on them and it fits, but that didnt happen to well. the tabs fit its just the base is to big on these hids

take some pics of it maybe you can modify it to fit. They should be a direct plug and play, maybe they shipped you the wrong part unknowingly. i would call them direct

what parts too big? From my understanding it sounds like you shaved the 2 little tabs where it connects to the wire harness.

Did you shave the 3 tabs to match the pattern on your headlights. They wont be the same.

oh i forgot to mention you also have to shave the base of them.shave around where the o-ring is.

but shave it little by little.shave too much and it wont fit snuggly in the housing.

thats what i was wondering but im kinda scared to because it has the blue plastic shield running kinda close to the edge... should i have any issues or no?

nevermind my mom said she will buy these off of me

so if i do 9005 will i need to do anything or are these going to fit no problemo or do i still have to shave theplastic by the o-ring?

forgot to ask but if i do 55watt will i need the code eliminator module since our cars lights are 55watt to begin with?

anybody done the 55watt 4500k and what did you get with your kit? i.e code elimanator etc
