Default Lights!

Hey guys, we're having some light problems.

I have a 1992 SC300. I am having the traditional leaky lights problem, and I purchased a set of lights off Ebay. The housings fit into the car, but when I tried to swap the low-beam bulbs over, they did not fit. I am not sure what year SC these lights came out of, but was there any difference in the years as far as the light housings go? This is very peculiar.....

I could be wrong, but IIRC, The housings are essentially identical with the exception of the headlights made past (2002?) with the updated projectors. But all should be able to interchange easily. The new projectors can be swapped into older headlights, etc.

The JDM soarer low beams use 9005 bulbs like the high beams. You can try that size since you should already have them on your high beam.

The 9005's fit, but wouldn't that be bad to have high beam bulbs and be blinding everyone?

did you try trimming the tabs on the 9006 bulb to fit in the 9005 housing?

bulbs dont constitute high beam or low beam, the housing in which it resides does.

Gotcha.

SoCaL, I didn't try to trim the tabs down, no. I might have to try that though.
