wow i like your old setup! how did you fit all of it in your trunk? my sub is in place where the factory sub was...it makes that cover thing rattle a lot...junk sometimes. I want new sounds cus i went to a show a couple months ago and i saw a bmw with CRAZY sounds in it! it had 2 big subs and the amp was level with the floor of the trunk covered with some kind of clear glass, the amp gave off a blue light, so it was even MORE cherry !...with all the sounds he had it still didn't compromise the space of the trunk...

Here's a simple upgraded system to my car that was done by my friend:

1) Headunit

2) Nav is loading.....

3) For mids & highs, my friend had custom built kick panels housing a pair of DLS UR5i. Here are the driver side and pax side:

4) Next up, to the trunk area -- stealth look and functional:

5) Voila....a single Image Dynamics IDQ10 V3 flanked by two Elemental Designs Nine.2 amps:

6) Phoenix Gold EQ215ix EQ/X-over and a Pioneer 12-disc changer:

7) Last but not least, my extra "protection":

Again, I'm not going for loud system here but rather quality sound with good imaging. Hope you all enjoy the pictures !

Yea, nice set up especially since the factory tweeters hurt ur ears! I kept it simple, 5 1/2 Type X's in the doors, and a 12" type X in the trunk. I removed the stock sub so the sound can get into the cabin since our cars are like sound proof or something.

JDMstatus - Spare tire? Who needs spare tire nowadays when you have a AAA card. Actually, I need to have the spare tire removed so my friend can custom built an amp rack with the sub enclosure.

LeXusFiTs - My friend did the same thing as you did, removed the factory sub so the bass can travel into the cabin. Yeah I believe Lexus cars are very solid built.

1BIGJZS147 - Thanks buddy! I've always impressed on what you did to your car. The word "Elegancy" sure fits the overall details of your car. Great job !!!
