lol I just had to laugh when I read your post.

First and foremost...clean out as much of that garbage out as you can. Get a rag and jam your hand up into the filter area. Wipe it around as best as you can. Clean out all the leaves and crap or whatever is in there. Afterwards, drive with the heater at full temp and and full blast. Just crack the windows open if you get too hot. Basically you're evaporating the water and killing the bacteria with the heat. Do that for a few days to see if the problem goes away. That's how I got rid of the gross air smell on my last car. I've also recommended this to a few friends and it's worked out as well.

Just make sure there isn't a dead rat/bird/squirrel/rabbit/etc or something in your air vents. No amount of hot air will get that smell out until you actually remove the carcass lol

Check the filter behind the glove box, then spray Lysol into the air vents just under the windshield while the air is on HIGH. This should kill the bacteria in your system.

you can remove the cowl and vaccuum everything out. then get some a/c deodorizer from a good parts store and follow the instructions on the can.

Ok, your car will smell during the winter months when you use AC because it is not used enough. Just make sure anytime you use AC, and 5-10 minutes before your destination hit the AC button so the light goes off. This will blow just regular air through your vents which will remove any condensation that was built up while AC is on.
