Air Filter

What is the best way to clean an air filter? Can it be washed with a water hose and dried? or just blow it with an air gun? It is in good shape but dirty in the middle.

You can use a brush and a vaccume cleaner to clean it. But don't wash it with water because the paper element will shrink when it is dried which reduces air flow.
