It's already gone. Speaking of that, how bad is Midas about to rape me?

The Midas touch.

Depends on what is broken. Here is a link to show you what the prices should be. After reviewing, I suggest getting a used one. DAMN that stuff is expensive!

Good gravy some of those prices scare the crap out of me. If I log on tomorrow and say goodbye to ya'll that means Midas was too much for me to handle.

I have third party warranty through C.A.R.S. Protection Plus Inc. I have heard nothing but bad things about this company and the only reason I have it is because it came with the car. It only has a $100 deductible, but I don't know if they are going to cover the work. I'm not sleeping well tonight.

Ok, I got some good news. I can keep the Lexus. There were two bolts missing out of the rack and pinion ($51). After that, they checked the rest of the car and found some other issues. It seems I need new rear calipers and rotors along with a new serpentine belt. No biggie. Kaiser and Link13, thanks for the advice yesterday.

Seeing as how there are only 4 bolts that hold up the rack, you made a good move not driving it. Good for you.

That's a Christmas present in itself. Life is good.

Good to hear it wasn't an expensive problem. Glad you can keep the car!
