Default re Question

I have no problem with the tein suspension but the price. But why have anyone introduce the d2 racing 36way adjustable coilover. The spring rate is custom to your liking. Lowering the car does not change the spring tension you actually lower it from the chassie mounting tube assembly. You get more features then any tein coilover besides efdc which when your dealing with a lexus you don't race. But on the hand every other form from bmws, nissians, toyota, etc give rave reviews about these coilovers and we have not set up a group buy yet. In some group buys they were as low as 700 shipped to you door. A tein group buy has never been that low. I like performance but at a reasonable price. I am not upset just want to get the best deal possible and a good product. There serviced in the US and there is no need to send them back to japan and wait 4 to 6 weeks for a return. They look just like a replica of the hks LS coilovers but at a fraction of the price.

what do you think?????????????

I've asked about the D2 coilovers before. I was going to get those or Ksports. Really they don't seem all that bad. If i didn't get a deal on my Tein HA then I would have had a set of those. Try them out and let us know

I think in most cases, you get what you pay for. If I'm driving the best of Japanese automobiles, I want the best parts for it!

I feel what you are saying as I have tein cs myself. It all comes down to the quality of the part. Some will trash tein and say another company is better, but for the price, it was right for a quality set of coilovers with a good reputation.

The d2's seem very inexpensive as the price is comparable to a tein basic damper offered on other cars. Then again, D2 probably just wants to get their name out there. Either way, who knows.. Far as I'm concerned, you pay for what you get most of the time.

I've been modding cars for over 10 years now and 95% of the time, any product that comes in and undercuts the competition while claiming to be as good, or better than their competition disappears very quickly because a - they can't support the price point they've come in at long term or b - their products quality reflects the price and no one buys it!

I've gone for the HKS LS+, time will tell if it was the right decision!

I understand what everyone saying but alot of the sc300 and supra guys are running these coilovers and love them. The spring rate is custom to your liking which tein don't give you that option and from what i have seen the oriental guys in canada and australia are also running these coilover. And having my gs300 turbocharged in Richmond, Canada we are far behind the curve in importing performance a whole lot cheaper and faster. No matter if it is a the nissan skyline r33 or r32 alot of the owners of these cars are happy with this type of coilover. A lot of the nissan, honda, rx7,and wrx/ evolution guys are also running these coilovers in the states. I gone to order a set for my ordering a set of them for my first generation gs300 and I heard they are even lighter than the new teins cs the only differents is there made in tiawan. For all you guys that don't know some of the same suspension parts on the supra fit the gs300, excuse me in japan the (toyota ARISTO) The tein colovers are the cheaper colovers out of the jic, hks and a few other companys in japan. So like the gentleman say earlier you get what you pay for and if I can get good performance for a better price then i am on it. The teins are definitly over rated for the price you pay and I spend money for parts on my gs and not no cheap ebay parts. We the consumer are the reason why the prices are so high (keyword demand). If i have a luxury autoobile I want it ride like luxury. But thanks for your input keep the comments coming just want to have a more than one product to choose from on this site. I remember when the best suspension you get for any lexus was the eibach springs set up with a good kyb strut.

Just like the gent before me said he is going with hks ls. good choice I have a friend hear in WA with them on a mk III and it road like a dream for 30 way adjustable thats why I am asking my question. Not a jump on the bandwagon type of guy
