GS Problems? HELP
Iv had my 93 GS300 for just over a year, and all of a sudden I notice that when I go from park to any gear the car begins to shake and if I’m not quick to either gas it or put it in neutral the car dies
Once I get the car going it runs fine shifting through all the gears, untill I come to a stop, in gear, once again the car wants to die, unless I break and gas to keep it from dying. Does anybody have any clue as to why this is happening now. Please Help!!

Def. that EGR will help i had the same problem but only when i did a quick shift from Neutral to Drive (at a light) it would idle down then pick up speed on its own like nyARISTO said... tune up and change the EGR...
Well I don’t think it's the EGR, because that is used when the car is in neutral also.. and when I have it in neutral the car revs normal and runs fine. Do you think it could possibly be something with the transmission? Thanks for the responses.
I made that mistake like 6 months ago. I got all that cleared out and the car ran fine after that. Like I said it runs fine when you start it and just let it sit there. It's untill you try to put it into gear when i start havin my problems. What happens is <>
1. Start car. let it warm up. (running fine)
2. Put it into gear reverse or drive and then the car starts hesitating then bam.. dies. ( like I don't know how to drive a clutch!)
The only way I can drive the car is if I'm on a hill where I can get rolling as soon as I put it into gear.

I was thinking it was going to be something with the transmission. I'll check the things that are listed, but if none of those are it.. I'll be back
Again thanks for the help.
Again thanks for the help.
Oxygen sensor is my bet. I have like 4 extra ones. I am almost a damn scrap yard. If you are good with electronics and own a multimeter, find the pin for the O2. Turn the multimeter to millivolts. Start the car. The number should jump rapidly back and forth past 450 mv. 450 is stoich and what the ecu's goal is. If it's slow or doesn't move, it's shot. BTW if it reads over 450 it's richer and lower than it's lean. it should never go above 900mv or below 100mv really.
I can get you the pin from the shop manual tomorrow.

I had the same problem once. Ironically, it was the brake booster which is located behind the master cylinder. When you are shifting into gear you are pressing the brake and when you stop you are pressing the brake. When you take off your foot is off the brake. The booster is going bad and the car's computer doesn't know how to compensate for the change in pressure other than to cut off.
