Thumbs up Broken Speedometer

94GS300 Speedometer is not working, some electronic problem I see quite often in older Lexus's, anybody know HOW-TO / HOW-MUCH to fix? [Hundreds or Thousands?] Tach works fine. Sometime a lil dash slap gets it up, but not any more.

It could just be a short somewhere, I dont know if each gauge has it own fuse or not, but you could check in the owners manual, but seeing as when you would slap it, it would come back on, Im gonna rule the fuse out(if there even is one). If anything, your probably gonna have to go to lexus.
But, I do have one question, does the needle move, or does it just not light up? If it doesnt move, go to lexus, if it moves but doesnt light up, go to www.Lextech.org and get your whole thing redone a different color .

Also, Welcome to Club Lexus!

mann if i were you... hit up ebay and find another cluster... maybe around 150-200 dollars then if you want open it up and you can take your mileage reader and switch it with the one you buy.. (incase your mileage is lower) and i think that will save you time and money..
